Frankie Layton - Founder of The Dirt Company

Frankie Layton is the Founder of The Dirt Company, Australia’s first ever completely circular packaging brand. The Dirt Company sells laundry products in thoughtfully designed dispenser bottles that are replenished using refill packs. The packs are returned for sanitisation and reuse, effectively eliminating plastic waste from the wash cycle.

Over the past four years The Dirt Company have amassed more than 70,000 customers, and have prevented more than 75 tonnes of plastic from being created.

The idea has been featured in Smart Company, Broadsheet, 9 Honey, The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, BuzzFeed and The Guardian.
Frankie’s passion for sustainability came early, seeing the waste in remote parts of the Atlantic Ocean while Stewardessing on SuperYachts. Following her University and a 7 year career in Strategic Consulting, Frankie had the idea to tackle this waste by redesigning a packaging system for household products. The Dirt Company was officially launched in 2017.

Mel Haque - Founder of Wild Dough Playdough

Melissa Haque is the founder and CEO of Wild Dough, an international award-winning entrepreneur, business mentor, bestselling co-author, marketing lover and mother, known for her passion for business, cheerful disposition and overly loud laugh.

Wild Dough was born when the playdough available on the market didn’t meet her “mum needs” so she developed her own. Wild Dough Playdough is a great smelling, long lasting, rehydratable playdough that is soft enough for the littlest hands to manipulate.

Wild Dough playdough is proudly handmade in Australia and in 3 years, Melissa has successfully scaled from her kitchen bench to a 300sqm factory leading up to 15 staff and sold over 150,000 units. She is on a mission to make playtime more joyful for kids whilst giving time back to mums.

Melissa is also passionate about supporting other women to succeed in business and mentors self-made product owners and has co-authored bestselling book “Courage and Confidence” sharing her knowledge to help women aspiring to start their own business.

She co-founded Ecoriginals, the world’s most eco-friendly nappy brand and Australia’s most highly rated nappy brand as reviewed by the public. Her innovative approach to subscription based ecommerce selling, along with her approach to building the brand to be completely automated, allowed her to exit the company in late 2018 to focus on building her coaching brand.

Known as the go-to expert for mumpreneurs with product brands who want to dramatically reduce their working hours whilst growing their businesses into leaner, more automated and future proofed companies, Lisa is on a mission to help others feel fulfilled by their business Every. Single. Day.

Hero Packaging has had incredible growth in the last 4 years and now has over 40,000 customers. The goal has always been to make packaging fun again, whilst doing better for the planet. A few years ago Erika and her best friend and creative partner, Charl Laubscher, decided to write a children’s book, Me Too. Along with illustrator Andrew Murray (Gatsby), they hoped to complete the project in six months. It took them two years. Me Too was published by Walker Books Australia in February 2018.

Kristy Withers is the founder of Incy Interiors, a designer children’s furniture company. In 2011, interiors enthusiast and mum, Kristy Withers founded lncy Interiors, an Australian owned and designed company specialising in designer baby and childrens furniture.

lncy Interiors transpired after Kristy's long and exhausting search to find her son Oscar's first 'big boy' bed. Her regular work-related travels to the US and Europe Australia gave her exposure to the myriad of products and styles on offer, something that was simply missing in Australia.

Kristy's frustration, coupled with a gentle push from her husband Simon, to "stop talking about it and just do it!" led to the birth of lncy Interiors, and with that, the launch of high quality designer kids' furniture in Australia.

Kristy Chong is the Founder of Modibodi, life-changing absorbent apparel brand. Her vision with Modibodi was for all people to have higher expectations of the physical, emotional and ethical comfort they get from clothing, forgo disposables, and feel empowered to live more comfortably in themselves, without limitations. Kristy is a mum of 4, and an advocate for sustainability, women's rights, and innovation for positive change. Kristy recently sold Modibodi to global health company Essity .

Emma is the co-founder of the iconic Australian brand The Beach People - makers of luxe essentials for the land and sea. In true disruptor style, this female founder changed the textile industry on a global scale with the creation of the original round towel, the “Roundie.” Since then, Emma and her sister Victoria have been developing this world renown lifestyle brand with a gorgeous aesthetic, innovative product designs and a commitment to selling versatile products that can last as long as the memories their customers create with them.

With her sight set on building the world’s most loved lifestyle brand, this mother of 4 daughters and wife to one husband and one fur baby, understands that their business was built off the back of social media. She is personally responsible for growing the @thebeachpeople account to their first 200K followers before adding a team that is working towards reaching the coveted first Million followers, while she continues to create innovative products such as the insulated picnic basket, the wet bucket and the sand-free cabana towel. If you ask Emma what is a “pinch me moment” for her, it is to see The Beach People community all over the world enjoying their sea and home essentials, which inspire a beautiful, well-considered life!

Jordana Edwards is the founder and CEO of The Breastfeeding Tea Co. Jordana built her first ecommerce store Clean Tea from market stall to multimillion dollar brand before selling in 2021. Jordana's new business The Breastfeeding Tea Co launched in 2020, amidst covid lockdowns to go on to become Australia's number #1 breastfeeding tea company in 2 short years.

In the old tale of " I couldn't find the solution, so I made one" Jordana has created a range of fenugreek free teas to help increase milk supply, aid baby's wind and colic and support mothers through their postpartum journey becoming Jordana's second million dollar brand in under 18 months. Jordana is also the winner of 5 awards in the 2020 Ausmumprenuer, named by Retail Global as "The Queen of Business Disruption" and has been a speaker at both Facebook HQ and Business Chicks.

With a background in the Performing Arts, woking with Australia’s most respected contemporary dance companies, followed by an equally impressive decade as a photographer and stylist, Rachel Bernhaut is well adept at benchmarking herself against the best. Inspired to aim for further new heights, Rachel transplanted her skills, along with herself, to New York City where she photographed everyone from fringe performers to legends of the stage. In NYC she became a mother (twice), which was the catalyst for her next life changing manoeuvre. As Co-Founder and Creative Director of Australia’s most recognised kids toothpaste brand "Jack N’ Jill Kids", Rachel has adeptly navigated the chaos of a fledgling startup, right through to a leading a global brand, now represented in over 50 countries.
